I guess you can say I studied art in many different ways. I actually started with advertising in College. I moved over to Fine Art because of my drawing instructor. She was amazingly talented and saw things in people others didn’t. It changed my life.

Even after school, an artist never stops learning. We learn from other people, from different experiences in everyday life and from jumping into the swimming pool without knowing if there is any water in it.

Never Be Afraid To Fail.

I absolutely live by this. For far too many years, I stunted my own growth, not only as an artist, but as a person as well. I am 58 years old and finally understand that you are never a failure as long as you keep trying. I also learned that our greatest learning experience do not come from the class room but in our own minds whenever we stumble. That stumble, if treated correctly, is a wealth of knowledge that will serve you for the rest of your years.
